CloudLock Launches First Near Real-time Cloud Security Solution for Google Drive

New CloudLock SaaS Solutions Deliver on Closed-Loop Cloud Security Promise for Near Real-Time Detection, Classification and Protection of Sensitive Cloud Data

WALTHAM, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/08/14 -- CloudLock, the leading cloud information security provider, today launched CloudLock for Google Drive, the industry's first cloud security solution that detects and protects sensitive content in near real-time, averting potential incidents in Google Drive. Additionally, CloudLock announced the general availability of CloudLock Selective Encryption, the world's first purely cloud-based, content-aware, intelligent AES 256-bit encryption solution that allows enterprises to further protect their sensitive data stored in Google Drive.

CloudLock for Google Drive is an agentless and completely non-intrusive native cloud solution, providing a highly-intelligent content and behavior analytics engine that discovers and classifies organizations' most sensitive data in near real-time. Organizations can easily customize security policies to intelligently and automatically detect sensitive information such as intellectual property, personally identifiable information (PII) and data subject to Payment Card Industry Data Security standards based on unique internal needs and compliance requirements.

Via CloudLock's real-time incident detection, security staff, administrators and end-users are immediately notified to take risk-appropriate remediation steps. Through the solution's unified cloud security dashboard, incidents are easily managed centrally. Remediation can include changing sharing privileges, removing file access or encrypting files using CloudLock Selective Encryption.

CloudLock Selective Encryption non-disruptively encrypts only the most sensitive data and allows for both end-user-driven encryption, as well as corporate-governed encryption, enforced by CloudLock's cloud-based policy engine. Given its encryption-as-a-service nature, the product doesn't break real-time collaboration or impact Google's virus-scanning in any way. Organizations will soon be able to set up policies that will automatically encrypt files that contain sensitive information without requiring any end-user involvement.

"Cloud adoption is no longer a question but a reality," says Gil Zimmermann, CEO at CloudLock. "As organizational data -- much of it sensitive or regulated -- moves into the cloud, it is increasingly critical that there be a mechanism for finding and responding to risk in near real-time. CloudLock has always been the vanguard of cloud security; with today's announcement, we are continuing to make it possible for organizations to meet regulatory and internal security requirements in the cloud, faster and more effectively than ever."

"CloudLock's near-real time incident detection will enable us to detect events as they happen, improve our ability to react quickly and keep our sensitive information safe and protected," said Dave Boxall, head of information security, Guardian News and Media Group.

CloudLock for Google Drive and CloudLock Selective Encryption are the latest advancements in the company's suite of content-aware compliance and security offerings, which protect more than five million end users while processing over 13 billion objects daily.

Based on one unified cloud security platform across multiple public cloud applications including Google Apps and Salesforce, CloudLock provides native security access, avoiding traditional gateway-based and reverse-proxy approaches that require heavy deployments, are prone to breaking cloud apps and are often unavailable from mobile apps. CloudLock is provisioned completely in the cloud in minutes and is completely seamless to end-users. Many of the company's more than 700 customers have already adopted CloudLock for Google Drive and Selective Encryption to secure their corporate cloud environments.

CloudLock for Google Drive pricing is $1.25 per user per month. CloudLock Selective Encryption pricing is $0.75 per user per month. Bundle pricing and volume discounts are available.
